As Head of School, I am incredibly proud to lead the daily life of a school where children’s happiness, wellbeing and achievement sit at the heart of every decision we make. It is a privilege to see our pupils grow in confidence and character each day.

At Oakworth, we believe childhood should be filled with challenge, discovery and joy. Our classrooms are places where questions are encouraged, effort is celebrated and mistakes are seen as valuable steps in learning. We work hard to create an environment where children feel secure enough to be themselves and brave enough to aim high.

Our dedicated staff team brings energy, expertise and genuine care to their work. They know the children well, nurture their individual strengths and provide the right balance of support and challenge to help every pupil succeed. Strong partnerships with families are central to this, as we know children thrive best when school and home work closely together.

Beyond the classroom, pupils take on responsibilities, represent their school with pride and contribute positively to the wider community. We place great importance on developing independence, integrity and a strong sense of belonging, so that children leave Oakworth not only well-prepared academically, but ready for the next stage of their journey as thoughtful and capable young people.
