Our School
Welcome from the Headteacher
It is a pleasure to welcome you to Oakworth Primary School, situated in the beautiful Worth Valley near Keighley. We are proud to be part of the Brontë Academy Trust – a close-knit family of four schools: Oakworth, Haworth, Lees, and Oldfield. Together, we embody the motto: Four Schools, One Family, working in partnership to provide the very best for our children.
Welcome to Oakworth Primary School
At Oakworth, everything we do is rooted in our core values: Ready, Respectful and Safe. These simple yet powerful principles guide our pupils every day, helping them to grow into confident, caring and responsible individuals. Our school motto, Together We Learn, Together We Grow, reflects the inclusive and nurturing environment we foster across our school community.
We are passionate about providing an inspiring, well-rounded education that reaches beyond the classroom. Our love of outdoor learning is woven into our curriculum — whether it's exploring the local moorland, gardening in our school grounds, or taking part in forest school activities, we believe the natural world offers powerful opportunities for curiosity, creativity, and resilience.
We are also proud of our strong tradition of sporting excellence. Our children are encouraged to enjoy a wide variety of physical activities and regularly take part in competitive sports, promoting teamwork, perseverance and a healthy lifestyle.
As Headteacher, I feel incredibly privileged to lead a school where staff, families, and governors work hand-in-hand to provide a warm, welcoming and ambitious environment for every child. We hope that this website gives you a flavour of life at Oakworth, and we warmly invite you to visit us and experience the magic for yourself.
