Having previously served as Headteacher here, Oakworth holds a very special place in my heart. I am incredibly proud of the nurturing ethos, high expectations and ambitious curriculum that enable every child to flourish both academically and personally.

Outdoor learning remains a distinctive strength of the school. From exploring the local moorland to developing resilience through forest school and hands-on experiences within our grounds, children are given rich opportunities to develop curiosity, independence and a love of the natural world. Alongside this, our strong sporting tradition promotes teamwork, perseverance and healthy lifestyles, ensuring pupils develop confidence in both body and mind.

As Executive Headteacher across both Oakworth and Haworth Primary Schools, my commitment is to preserve and celebrate what makes each school unique, while strengthening the shared values of excellence, inclusion and opportunity for all. Working closely with the Head of School, staff, governors and families, we will continue to ensure Oakworth remains a warm, welcoming and aspirational place where every child can thrive.
