Writing & E.G.P.S
Here at Oakworth, we plan our sequences of learning through giving children a 'cold task' at the start of a teaching sequence, where they write what they know using the appropriate audience, purpose and features of a particular text type. Every child is set bespoke stage related targets which are driven through the learning journey. Relevant skills are taught and then reassessed at the end of the teaching sequence through a 'hot write' task. Independent application of skills are assessed using stage related Writing Assessment Grids. These can be found in the file below.
