Spring Term 2
We are learning all about animals. We visited Ms Hedges’ horse after a long walk- nearly to Haworth! It was amazing and we listened so well to all the adults. We now know what horses eat, where they sleep and how to care for them. Back in Hippo-land the animal fun continues as we look after all Hippo’s friends in the Vet area and as we await more animal friends to visit us soon!
Spring Term 1
What will we find in space?
”We arrived back after Christmas to find a a giant spaceman and our role-play was now a space station. We read our first text called ‘How to catch a star’ and set off to make our own star catchers for our Wow start. Have we managed to catch a star yet? We also made rock biscuits to link with our new theme. We have also been counting backwards and forwards to 20 ready for Blast off. Come to Hippoland to see our amazing Working Wall full of star catchers and rockets.

The Three Little Pigs Visit Oakworth
WOW START
For our WOW start, Hippos went Won a special adventure to find a house for The Three Little Pigs. We had a fantastic time searching for suitable homes and eventually found some made of bricks!
