For the celebration of The Queen's 90th birthday, we displayed some of the crown jewels in our trophy cabinet which we had borrowed for the very special occasion. This morning, they went missing! The children have been looking everywhere for them and have started a huge investigation. We can't wait to see what work they have produced to help us find the precious jewels.
At Oakworth Primary School we believe children should be given the opportunity to develop and apply different skills in order to support them in being super learners!
Thinking skills are incorporated in every lesson, teachers encourage children to be: independent enquirers, effective participators, creative thinkers, self managers and reflective learners.
Each half term we have a thinking skills afternoon where we get to show off these skills as a class. Thinking skills afternoons are great fun, we take part in all sorts of different challenges. Here’s some pictures of our thinking skills challenges.
